LightMX Tutorial: RJ-1000 Setup, LED Layout and Lighting Output
Follow a practical workflow from Bluetooth-assisted Wi-Fi setup to LED layout, animation, frame capture, live demonstration and output in LightMX.
RJSC · Software, hardware and cloud
This tutorial uses an RJ-1000 controller and an LED panel to demonstrate the basic workflow from connecting a device to producing a lighting effect. The on-site demonstration runs approximately 5 minutes 34 seconds. Screens may vary with the app version and controller model.

Before you begin
Connect the controller, power supply and LED panel correctly, and power on the controller.
Install and open LightMX on your phone. Turn on Bluetooth and allow access to nearby devices.
Prepare a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network supported by the controller. For local control, the phone and controller must be able to reach each other on the same local network.
Workflow
Add and connect the controller. On the LightMX home screen, choose Add Device and select RJ-1000. Search for and select the controller, enter the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi details, and start setup. Return to the device list and check its connection status.
Check device control. Open the device control page to view the lighting status and device scenes, and check that the panel responds.
Design the LED layout and wiring. In Design, match the pixel count, starting position and wiring order to the physical installation. The example uses 15 rows by 22 columns, or 330 pixels, starting at the upper-right corner with a column-by-column serpentine route. Use the actual panel and wiring for your own project.
Arrange the animation. Open the Animation workspace to preview and add a color board, lighting effects or other media on the timeline, and adjust the effect as needed.
Capture into the composite. When the animation is ready, tap Capture and select the frame rate. If the project already contains composite frames, choose whether to replace them or append new frames. Inspect the captured lighting frames in the composite view.
Demonstrate and output. In the composite view, use the monitor icon for a live demonstration. To create a device file, open Output and choose the phone, cloud or device. Check the target device and output settings before following the on-screen upload prompts.
File formats
BIN is an output file for device playback. To retain the LED layout, media arrangement and an editable project, also save the project as RJX.
